The lovely mynxii scored tickets to WASO's 'Poem of Ecstasy' and as it's been over ten years since I've tried to appreciate the symphony I tagged along.

For a review of the performance from someone who got it, check out mynxii's post. I was having a hard time staying awake by the end.

(FYI, I also fail at ballet, unless it's Baryshnikov but I love opera. So.)


The plan after was coffee at Vultures, but as I was so sleepy I decided to pike. Until I got in my car and realised it was only 10:15pm and had a minor epiphany about how I really could be more sociable. So off I went to Vultures. Only no-one else turned up. However, one of the waiters felt sorry for me and said I could come back anytime and he'd be my friend.

So tonight I failed at culture, and I failed at hanging out.

I am wearing one sock.

It's 1pm and I'm still in bed. This is because I have my laptop and have discovered THIS OMG.



Why did I not know about this? Is it horribly, scarily illegal and I can expect a SWAT team to break down my door any second???


Anyhow, it's put me in A PIMPING MOOD,BABY.

The show is actually GOOD. It's also dark, Earth is at war with aliens and we're not winning. Probably why it only lasted a season. Bastards.

Just so you know what all the main characters look like

There's Colonel McQueen, the hot silverhaired dude. He's in charge of the Wild Cards. Who are:

West, he was set up as the tragic hero, but just came acros as whiny and annoying. I did have a link to a vid about him but I accidently lost it. So sad.

Shane Vansen is hot and she kicks ass and gets to be boss of the team.

Cooper Hawkes is the bad boy excon. Of course, we love him.

Damphousse and Wang are nice. Um, and earnest. We like them and hope they don't die. See, they aren't white so they don't get to be badass and sneer sexily or have interesting backstories. It's an old show.

The music to this vid seems totally wrong, but the lyrics fit and it pretty much tells you what you need to know about Col McQueen and Cooper Hawkes. Also, we slash them.

I like this vid purely because Cooper and Shane are totally hot and they sneer at each other while doing push ups. WHAT?

30 Rock - should I keep watching it?

I watched the pilot of 30 Rock today and it was funny but Alec Baldwin annoyed me. This is why I never want to know about celebrities personal lives.
