Being gay in Britain in 1971 yes this is really about The Persuaders!

Danny and Brett would still be breaking the law in hotel rooms, or at Brett's country homes. *sigh* as the 1967 laws decriminalising homosexual acts only applied if they were the only two people on the premises. Even threesomes with girls weren't allowed. *is shocked*

There's a fabulous Dirk Bogarde film called Victim which apparently LED to the reforms being made. He played a guy who refused to be blackmailed. It is brilliant!

Thank you. I was just wondering when the first tentative steps towards decriminalisation were made in Britan and to lazy to look it up. I thought it was perhaps later than in Germany but 1967 makes it two years earlier. Interesting. In these times there were also often laws against procuration and/or co-habitation still on the books in many countries.
