The Yuletide pinch hits have been coming at four minute intervals for the last few hours. I have my mail set to automatically check every minute!! and I still can't get one!!

I've tried for SIX. Three Hot Fuzz and two Persuaders and one random movie that I always thought SOMEONE should write it, you know.

*wails* I really want to write for Hot Fuzz or The Persuaders. *sulks*

At this point somebody's going to suggest I write the fics anyway, for ME, right? Well, I'm crap at that, see. I need a goal! A deadline! Mild panic attacks!

I think you should write Persuaders fic for ME. But I can see how that might lack the motivating factors too.

BTW, if you ever encounter some Bulletproof fic, please wave it in my general direction? Because I've never seen fic for it, and it is so slashy it hurts.

I thought of that -- "Shouldn't I finish all my WIPs right now before the yuletide stories go up and everyone becomes too busy to read anything?" And then I FROZE and spent all night making Persuaders icons instead.

Perfectly valid excuse! However I suggest a deal. You undertake to finish your Hot Fuzz fic (and something else if you only have a tiny bit to do) and I will undertake to finish my Keen Eddie fic that I haven't looked at in about 18 months but that someone sent me a feedback the other day asking if I was going to finish it. Before the archive opens. What do you reckon?

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHA IF ONLY.

My main problem on the Hot Fuzz is linguistic: it's full of stuff where it's easy to go wrong (the way people talk about pocket change, for example) -- I mean, more glaringly wrong than usual -- and I find the whole process of having something looked at surprisingly difficult and embarrassing. So that's slowed me up a great deal.

I will try to finish *something* soon though. Keen Eddie your little heart out!
