In conclusion: I love Star Trek

Life long K/S shipper here. I even still refer to it that way instead of 'Spirk'.

After the first movie I was happy to read threesome fic, even the occasional Spock/Uhura, but my fave was still K/S.

The latest movie has sold me even more on the K/S/U threesome, because Uhura is just so. goddamn. awesome. I am so grateful they gave her more to do this time around. Of course, it also made me crave more K/S, because of reasons. (Link to reasons - spoilery)

However I am totally in love with this gif. I don't know who made it, sorry for not crediting, found it at the end of a fic on AO3, not that I am reading fic atm, because I am studying all the time *stares*

That gif is awesome.

It bites that the reboot movies give Uhura so little to do, but at least she's fantastic in them. (Not that the original Uhura didn't also rock. You know what I mean!)

I thought she had plenty to do in this one, not only relationship stuff, but lots of important action stuff, plus getting to use her area of expertise. Its hard when there's seven characters, someone's going to lose out, this time it was Sulu.

True, Sulu got sidelined more than Uhura. She did take the lead with the Klingons, and she was crucial in the scene on Earth at the end, but I guess I won't be satisfied until the next movie is Uhura-centric, and Kirk and Spock are the supporting characters.
