Sad, sad fan.

I am all about writers taking risks and doing epic things with the characters. I thought the finale was magnificent.

Having said that, I spent yesterday morning moping. [livejournal.com profile] angriest was totally unsympathetic and vaguely amused at me (just wait til Tennant leaves, is all I’m saying) and when I told [livejournal.com profile] cricketk I just about burst into tears.

However, last night I rewatched the eps and I have been able to achieve some closure.

I wonder what pretty young things they’ll get to replace them.

Edit Angriest has just given me chocolate.

You seem intent on keeping this post relatively spoiler free. Will try and oblige.
OMG you bastards! How could you do that to X (and X)? Couldn't you have Xed X instead? The drawn out scene between X and X was trite but still made of awesome - must make icons.
In conclusion - Martha?

OMG! YOu've finally watched it.

Trille and I wanted to discuss this so much but we had to keep your sensitive ears unspoilered. And now we've been sidetracked and are completely over this.

Yeah, would have been Tuesday I think.
Oh well, I can deal. WIll chat with friday night group when they've finally caught up.

Hello? Me?

This is how I felt yesterday.

[identity profile] ascetic-hedony.livejournal.com 2008-04-10 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
O focurse I want to talk with you - who wouldn't?
Seemed unlikely I'd see you before friday though :)

Oh, spoiler away!

The final scene with Tosh and Owen was beyond awesome. Best ever.

I assume you menat you'd rather they'd killed Gwen off, because if you mean Ianto, our friendship may not be the same again.

Martha? Cast spoiler?

When have I ever picked a girl over a guy? (Except when the guy was Angel)
Ianto stays... or gets his own series.
Yantoe and Ohaisexijack 4eva

Ianto isn't a strong enough character to carry a show. I love that he's a regular guy.

Yantoe and Ohaisexijack 4eva

Hee. Absolutely.

Nekkid hide and seek!

I'd love to seek Ianto's reaction if one day someone actually does take Jack up on the 3some invitation.

[identity profile] ascetic-hedony.livejournal.com 2008-04-10 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
He probably isn't strong enough, but neither is Jack. *ducks*
Have you read copperbadge's fic where a lolcat visits torchwood? Hilarious.

[identity profile] sarren.livejournal.com 2008-04-10 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Jack has the 51st century pheromones and the huge backstory. Ianto, however, is a teaboy!

lolcats ftw! Will look it up after work.

[identity profile] ascetic-hedony.livejournal.com 2008-04-10 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
"Ianto is just a teaboy"
OMG bite your tongue!
Ianto makes the drinks, kills creatures from the rift, is able to shoot his teamates when they're being stupid, helped catch a teradactyl, is trusted to know secrets the rest of Torchwood are ignorant of, keeps the archives, does what he believes is right (even when Jack may deny him hot monkey sex), seems to be openly bisexual by action as well as flirtation, was able to successfully hide Lisa (and the visiting specialists) from the rest of the team, organises all the day to day running of Torchwood, and knows more things to do with a stopwatch than Einstein.
*pauses for breath*
So I might be a bit of a fan there.

*falls about laughing*

I did not say just a teaboy.

You DO know Ianto's my favourite too, right? I LOVE that he's often unsure of himself and his place and is clearly a bit overwhelmed by being the focus of Jack's attention.
