Wait til summer, you'll hear about it when we have heatwaves. We'll be talking about being in singlets and shorts and avoiding suburn and you'll be under several feet of snow. It's amusing.
I believe you can't wear white after Labour Day in the USA, which has now been renamed by George Bush as Loyalty Day or somesuch, so I think everyone's off the hook as far as white goes!
Labor Day in the US (unlike other parts of the world, I know) is in September, and is the unofficial start of autumn, at which point nobody would dream of wearing white, until Easter.
I guess there may be some people who do pay attention to that sort of thing--probably the same types who worry about whether their daughters will be accepted into the right sororities... in other words, not exactly the people in my circles :-).
I'm not too sure about white or florals in the cooler weathers, or coupled with black, especially knitted, but I think its ok if there's black on the top and the bottom. And indeed, knee-high boots can overcome a lot of problems. And if the clothes are cut well and you feel good in them, that's what counts. Pave your own fashion road, baby. OTOH, the banner in your new layout hurts my eyes. It seems to be vibrating.

What really, truly is lots and lots of weird, however, is hearing someone refer to May as "winter". Oh crazy weather at the other end of the world.

I suspect it would look better if the top was patterned and the skirt black.
We still want pix :)
