there madness lies

Did I by any chance rec a Gladiator story on slashgropers? If so, can someone remind me where it bloody is? (cos of not being able to see my own bloody emails) I must have come across it wandering through people's ljs, as I can't even remember going to a rec site recently (though given my memory that's not saying much)

Anyhow this story's stuck with me to the extent it occasionally wanders around in the back of my head so eventually I had to make an icon. I'm not sure of the caption though, which is why I want to read it again.
