ME TOO! But then I thought about it and figured Rodney wouldn't like being a dragon very much - though it'd be funny with him complaining bitterly about his minions being nearly as useless as the voice activation software at trying to keep up with his brilliant insights. Cos you know that he'd secretly be one of the SGC's top scientists.

I think right from the shell he'd have refused to be locked into a limiting co-dependent relationship when he was clearly destined for greater things than being a beast of burden. And then when Earth started being threatened he would have been told it was his DUTY to be paired with an aviator. Enter Sheppard, from a long line of aviators who for MYSTERIOUS REASONS had never been given a dragon before (maybe he'd refused to *gasp*) And then it'd turn out that Sheppard wasn't COMPLETELY stupid and maybe they could work together as long as it was understood that were EQUALS in this relationship and Sheppard'd just smiled lazily and started hanging around the lab a lot. And after a while Sheppard'd be constantly trying to drag him outside to go flying and hang out with him and Rodney'd pretend to humour him but would be not-very-secretly proud that Sheppard was HIS human.
